Germany is a real hidden gem for intermediate and advanced skiers. European Ski Weekends feature Germany's largest resort, Garmisch-Partenkirchen which is only a few miles from the Austrian border and linked with the resort of Seefeld under the Happy Ski Card scheme.

Germany has always been one of Europe's most popular skiing destinations and has many times host to both the Winter Olympics and the Men's FIS World Downhill competition. In 2011, Germany will be holding the FIS World Ski Chamionship.
