The area is perfect for families too with great childcare facilities and ski schools. Skiing Beginners: The excellent local ski school of the Stubai Valley resorts provide expert tuition on the easy runs of the Froneben (Schlick 2000) for skiers staying in Fulpmes or Telfes. Guests staying in Neustift usually begin with the ski school on the gentle slopes of the Stubai Glacier. Schlick 2000 and the Elfer offer tree lined pistes and spectacular mountain views, whilst up on the Stubai Glacier you can enjoy wide-open snow bowls! Advanced: Able skiers will find a wide variety of piste with plenty of challenges and some awesome off piste too. The most famous off piste route is the Wilden Grub'n - a 10km route with a 1500m total drop! Snowboarding: The Stubai Valley gives snowboarders a huge variety of places to explore and ride. Schlick 2000 has a fun park and half pipe. The Glacier offers wide-open freeride terrain and loads of natural jumps and kickers. |
