Resort Description
La Massana is the quiter neighbour to the large resort of Arinsal. The ski area is linked by high speed cable car to the lovely tree lined runs of Pal, offering something for every level of skier and is particularly suitable for beginners and intermediates. The resort also boasts a lively atmosphere with a great selection of small bars and restaurants. The lift pass also covers the excellent ski area of Arcalis, known as the best ski area in Andorra.
Apres Ski
Lively and great value, with a good selection of bars in Arinsal. Nightlife in La Massana is quieter and more low key. Possible evening activities to be arranged include torch-lit descents, bowling and 'Arinsal by Night'. Activities Tobogganing Caldea Water Spa with 'Roman Baths' Skidoos in Pal
Skiing
Beginners
La Massana/Arinsal offers friendly English speaking instructors. The nursery slopes are set high enough to enjoy excellent snow conditions throughout the season, and for getting a tan.
Intermediates
The Cota area around 7,000ft offers a variety of red and blue runs. Pal has a great selection of long, wide runs.
Advanced
Experienced skiers can choose steeper runs, as well as mogul fields. The ski school offers advanced slalom racing and off-piste clinics.
Snowboarding
La Massana/Arinsal is a perfect place for beginners. For the advanced there is powder to be found amongst the trees of Pal, the neighbouring resort, and a snowboard park in Arinsal.
