Resort Description
Alpbach is one of Austria's most beautiful resorts and is the ultimate winter paradise village. Skiing for beginners and intermediates is excellent with some challenging off piste for the more advanced skier. The sweeping wide ski slopes of Alpbach are amongst the most attractive in the alps.
Apres Ski
Alpbach offers a number of lively bars and a nightclub. Try Jakober, Farmer's Pub or Postalm! Activities available from the resort include swimming, torchlit walks, sleigh rides, floodlit tobogganing.
Skiing
Beginners
Novice skiers will enjoy the excellent wide nursery slope near the village, or can take the ski bus to the 'Wiedersbergerhorn' where the gondola will take beginners up to the nursery slopes at 'Horn Boden'.
Intermediates
Alpbach is a fantastic choice for intermediate skiers. The main ski area is accessed via the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola where you can enjoy the long tree lined red runs back to the lift station or down to Inneralpbach.
Advanced
There are some great black runs to be found on the Wiedersbergerhorn, and brave skiers will enjoy the off piste run down to Hygna (only to be tackled with a guide!).
Snowboarding
Alpbach is a resort fully geared yup for snowboarding, having hosted the ISF World Pro Tour. Enjoy wide open slopes, a fun park and two half pipes! |
