Soll is a great choice for mixed ability skiers and is the main resort of Austria's famous Ski Welt circuit which boasts over 200kms of ski runs. Soll has an attractive village centre with traditional Tyrolean buildings and a pretty domed church. Apres Ski Soll has a big sports centre with connecting indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Ice Skating on frozen Lake Moorsee, curling, toboganning, night skiing, bowling, excursions to Salzburg, supermarkets, shops, port office. Apres ski is vibrant and varied in Soll with a good choice of cafes and bars. Skiing Beginners Soll has an excellent ski school and gentle nursery slopes on the edge of the resort centre. The gondola system starts from here taking improving beginners up to the Hohe Salve to enjoy some gentle blues and amazing views. There is a great 2.5miles cruising run doen through the trees back to the nursery area. Intermediates There is a great choice of blue and red slopes to keep intermediate skiers happy. The Ski Welt area pass offers a superb choice of over 250kms of runs connecting 90 ski lifts. Advanced Soll offers a good choice of long, well-maintained slopes and the back of Soll's Hohe Salve boasts several challenging black runs. Exciting off-piste skiing to challenge any expert skier. Snowboarding Soll is a great blace for boarders to spend a weekend. Freeriders should check out the Hohe Salve. Those wanting jumps should check out the half-pipe or snowboard park or head over to Westendorf area which has a well-known freestyle park. |
